My little nerd

Adrian is already eight months!
He loves to eat so I have been trying to give him different things. He has been really cranky lately but I realised that it was because he is getting his two top teeth. He is crawling sooo much that he is becoming dangerous, ha! He has had quite a few accidents none to bad, but he really likes to use fur nitre or anything higher than him to boost himself to stand. He sometimes loses his balance and falls and hits his face but he has been having so many falls he's gotten used to them. I like it that he is very active and curious bit at the same time it's a lot more work. Well I let him craw ll and stand up holding on to something because I believe it's important for his growth, so I don't want to stop him even if he'll have a few falls. I guess that's how babies learn. I put him on the walker a lot he likes it but not for too long, he cant really walk around in it yet he's at the pushing himself back stage. I've tried the Jonny Jump Up but he doesn't seem too interested in it, I guess I'll try when he is older. Winter is gone and summer is near, so I've been taking out his cooler clothes but the weather has been really crazy, one day there is sun and it's really hot the next day it's cold and windy and your in jackets and boots. So I have Adrian's drawers stuffed with both winter and summer clothes. Adrian still likes the water a lot, when we give him a bath he gets really angry when we take him out, he likes to make a HUGE mess when he is in the bathtub. He splashes and makes a puddle on the floor that by the end of the bath there is more water on the floor than in the tub, ha! When he is in the bathtub I throw in some water toys for him to play with, but he is not interested he always grabs the shampoo bottle and is happy with that and ignores the toys. I have question marks all over I'm like "aren't babies supposed to like toys?" I've learned with Adrian that babies prefer to play with real life things (most of the time dangerous things) than with boring plastic toys. I continue doing flash cards with him as much as I can. And he continues to watch his favorite video in the whole wide world "Baby Signing Time". I though I had the whole collection but apparently there are like 18 videos, I only have the first four. I would liked to get some more in the future there just a bit costly.

Saturday, April o4

Well in ten days Adrian will be turning 9 months old. Scary! Wow babies grow so fast it's not fair. I remember thinking "oh boy I can't wait for him to be walking, talking, taking care of himself and be more independent". Now I want him to be a baby forever. Oh well it's life.
Adrian has been a bit moody these past few days. His two top teeth are coming in and he's really going through it. This past week I had two terrible nights that I'll NEVER forget. Adrian usually sleeps well at night but because he is teething he was so fussy at night. He had the whole royal treatment that comes with teething, runny nose, drooling like an open faucet, fever and last but not least edginess. He's been doing better. He's still into putting everything into his mouth including grass. Oh yeah let me tell you a funny story. One day I was giving school to Carolina and for a change we were in the living room. The baby was crawling around all happy discovering new things. I ran real quick to get something from the classroom and when I got back he had Carolina's croc shoe in his mouth sucking away. Of course he got so angry when I took it away. The funny part was how his face was left, he had a dark brown mud all over his moth and cheeks it was so gross it looked like he just sneaked into some chocolates. Of course I washed his face etc..

I really like ASL(American Sign Language) it's so cool how you can communicate with your kid even before they can talk. I sign with Rodrigo all the time and it's so funny how he just loves it. It's the funnest thing for him when I teach him a new sign. No that's a lie the funnest thing is when he gets to watch "Baby Signing time" with sooplets(that's A. Sharon's nick-name for Adrian).

My Nick-names
Adrian has 3 nick-names: Junior, June Bug, and Sooplets. Tom started calling him Junior since he was born that one really stuck, everyone calls him Junior. then Sharon started to call him Sooplets, doesn't really mean anything but she says that he looks like a sooplets. Then I started the June Bug it has nothing to do with the insect. I was calling him Junes instead of Junior Then I just started calling him June Bug I think bug came later when I realized that he is kind of like a bug. A cute bug. Now all the kids call him June Bug we joke around and call him stink Bug(also the name of an insect) when he is dirty,ha! Well thought I'd tell you the story behind his Nick-Names.

Adrian has been growing so fast and is doing so many things now. He said his first word and stood without support like three times already. The first time I saw him stand on his own was on Easter. We were having an egg hunt for the kids and he was playing with the eggs on the table, then he grabbed one with both hands and stood on his own for about 3 seconds. I was so excited. Then the first time I heard him say his first word we were just playing and he was making lots of sounds(like he is trying to imitate sounds)then I told him "Adrian say Mama" he looked at me and said "Ma-ma" I got all excited but I thought "Oh, he won't say it again". But I asked him again and he said it. I did that a few times and he kept saying "Mama" now he says mama and I think he is trying to say Dada. The kids were telling him one day "Adrian can you say Dada" he smiles and says "ta-ta" so I think he was trying. Those are his two words and he loves to say them he gets excited and smiles, maybe it's because I praise him for it so much and I show a lot of excitement when he says the words.

We rode on horses a few weeks ago and Adrian got to see a real horse for the fist time! I do flashcards with him and one of the sets I do with him is farm animals, so I'm sure that after 9 months of doing theses flashcards he could recognize that it's a horse. He wasn't excited but looked at them with interest. I took a few pictures of him on the pony, I shall be posting them soon.

On Easter we decided to got out all together and do something as a Home so we were going to go to a safari park where you get to go on a ride and see the animals out in the wild. The park is called "Bio Parque Estrella". But because it was Easter it was so full we decided to go do paintball instead. It was my first time! Here is a pictures. I don't think it was as much fun for Adrian as it was for me:'
